February see’s three of DLR’s hand selected LGV employees challenge the cold conditions and the odd flurry of snow to undertake the Lift Truck Operators Course. Overseen by instructor Barry Meaking; Brandon, Tom and Ed having previously undertaken on the job training from DLR’s experienced Moffett operatives along with receiving relevant CPC training all successfully completed the course with not only a Lift truck licence but a new appreciation for good quality thermals.
During the duration of their training, all operatives obtained skills such as:
- Vehicle loading and unloading
- Operating a Lift Truck within a confined area
- Truck and Load Stability
- Handling a variety of loads
- Preparing, Moving, Stopping and Parking the truck
The completion of the course and the addition of new 3000kg Moffett NX Series machines to DLR’s Moffett Fleet, further increases DLR’s Moffett capacity throughout the U.K.
